Conservation Council SA is Standing Up For Solar!

Geelong Sustainability Group held a very well attended Solar Shindig during the week of action!

I'm standing up for solar because I don't get to vote or choose what happens to our planet. I rely on you humans to keep me safe. Anyway, with the money my people save with their solar installation with battery storage they can buy lots of treats for me!! I want that for doggies everywhere.

I'm standing up for solar because it helps to create jobs, clean energy and an economically and environmentally sustainable future.

We want Newtown to embrace solar energy!

What's not to love about a clean and unlimited energy source? And solar delivers a triple bottom line outcome - you have got to love it!

I'm standing up for solar because it's free and clean energy just pouring down on us from the sun. We need to stop the coal barons from pushing around our politicians to attack renewables and approve their dirty coal mines.

We need to protect the future of the coming generations. Sustainable living is the answer.

I love nature. Let's save our planet now!

It's Renewable Clean and cheap.
We currently have $410.00 in credit and this will rise towards summer. Have not paid for electricity since we installed our 3kw system in 2009.

Here at the Solar Citizens Sydney office we had a fantastic time shindigging with all the other organisations on our floor, celebrating Labor's ringing endorsement of our at least 50% renewables by 2030 position!

We are the youth climate movement, fighting for a just transition to 100% renewable energy for Australia.

I want a clean energy future

The spread of solar power is an important evolution for humanity to break away from central power and control. Were tuning our technology to the earths amazing ecology, surrendering to the power of nature and consequently losing our ego.

It's clean and green and beneficial for all of us!

Brisbane Solar Citizens gathered in New Farm over the weekend to encourage their local political representatives Terri Butler MP, Graham Perrett MP and Jim Chalmers MP to Stand Up For Solar at the upcoming ALP National Conference.

Renewable energy is a must!

Seven years ago I had solar panels placed on the roof of my home at Augusta and at the same time, a hot water electric heat pump installed and since then I have not paid an electricity bill, in fact I've had money back.  Financially, it is one of the best things I have done in my life. I have encouraged my children to do the same thing.

I want a clean Australia

I'm standing up for solar because I believe in harnessing the free clean energy the sun provides, to provide a future for my great nieces and nephews.

I am standing up for solar, which is clean cheap energy. Also because fossil fuels are damaging to the environment and  are running out.

The future of life on our precious planet demands that we develop renewable sources of energy. We cannot afford to avoid this reality.

After a week of rain, the sun came out for the Solar Shindig in Anthony Albanese MP's electorate of Grayndler.

We believe solar power is the way of the future and deserves encouragement, not impediment.

At Preservation Australia we work to preserve our cultural heritage for future generations. We think preserving the environment is equally important and renewable energy is clearly the way forward.

Some of the most important reasons why I'm standing up for solar;
 
Because I want to live in a sustainable and healthy environment, and to stop the climate change from reaching catastrophic global warming.  To safe the Great Barrier Reef and the Galilee basin from being destroyed by Adani's coal mine.  Solar power is the future of clean energy, no digging, no CO2 emission, and it's everywhere I go.  I love to see sun powered countries.

It was with great pleasure that Cairns Climate Action Network (CCAN) partnered with Solar Citizen to hold Australia's first Stand up for Solar Shindig. On the day Event Manager Andy Mack interviewed Rob Pyne MP, Member for Cairns, about Solar Energy, Climate Change and Sea Level Rise. CCAN is pleased to confirm that Mr Pyne is actively working toward Climate Change mitigation through the promotion of Solar Energy.
