Solar is under threat, with big power companies pushing our government to make decisions that have set solar and renewables back more than a decade. We have a plan for a sun-powered future but first we need to show our politicians that solar is supported by people all around Australia.

Join us for an evening of inspiring speakers and positive action.

The Stand Up For Solar Campaign Launch will include expert speakers, stories from solar owners, and a chance to take action together. Speakers include:

robertsimms.jpgROBERT SIMMS (short welcome)
Robert is an Adelaide City Councillor and an Academic at Flinders University, where he works in policy and project development. He has also worked in the community sector as a policy advocate and served on the boards of a number of community organisations including the Youth Affairs Council and AIDS Council of South Australia.

monicaoliphant.jpgMONICA OLIPHANT
Monica is a former President of the International Solar Energy Society and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of South Australia. She has a Masters Degree in Physics and almost 20 years experience as an Energy Research Scientist, and is currently a consultant on energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Jenny is the Managing Director of the solar company Suntrix, and was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014 after growing her business from the kitchen table into a multi-million dollar company. Jenny is also a member of the Clean Energy Council's PV Leadership Committee.

Danny founded the rapidly growing solar company, Sungevity, and is the author of the book "The Rooftop Revolution: How Solar Power Can Save Our Economy". He is a long-time clean-tech entrepreneur, who has achieved global recognition as an activist, spokesperson and opinion leader.

Claire is National Director of Solar Citizens. She has extensive experience in advocacy and community campaigning.
